The
boat is a 1974 vintage Morgan Out Island 28, home ported in Kittery, Me (pronounced 'Kitt
Tree'). It was in generally good condition, and for the most
part, had been properly cared for by previous owners, but had not
been in the water for several years. On first inspection the
teak/holly cabin sole was noted to be saturated with water.
Glass boats tend to 'weep' but this water entry may have accumulated
for some time. This boat is comfortable for it's size
as a result of having a
large cabin.
This has got to be
the biggest 28 footer afloat.
