This is a Classic 1938 Motor Sailor that was designed by Charles D. Mower, and built at the Mayea Boat Works on the shores of Lake St. Claire near Detroit - A builder that is still in business today.

She has an LOA of 47'6", beam of 14 ft, and Draft of 6'6". The hull is in good condition, but ..as with a boat of this age, there are areas that need attention. As an example, there are some cracked ribs and the cockpit floor should be replaced.

She was recently featured in an article in "WoodenBoat" magazine (no. 155), and with the application of time and work needed for a restoration, she will be a magnificent cruiser or live-aboard.

Auxiliary Propulsion

Her engine room houses a GM-471 diesel (a recent engine) that allows her to make an economical 8 to 9 knots underway, with a fuel capacity for extended cruising, supported by two large fuel tanks. There is wheel steering, both in the pilot house and in the cockpit.

Interior and Accommodations

There is Crews Berthing, a Captains Stateroom/office, Guest/owners stateroom, and a large galley. The galley boasts a huge ice chest/refrigeration system, and a propane galley stove.
Interior trim is in quite traditional period woods.
There are port and starbord potable water tanks, and the Dinette table is located in the large pilot house
